  • Indication / history: please provide an indication for bone marrow examination and, if applicable, a pertinent history of the patient (prior diagnosis or therapies.)
  • Tissue placed in formalin (or preferably in AZF) and/or saline or RPMI (preferably) if additional ancillary studies are expected.

Storage and Transportation

All specimens should be packaged securely to prevent damage. Slides, blocks, and fixed tissue may be shipped at room temperature, while fresh samples should be kept refrigerated with cold packs and sent the same day for best quality.
