Identifies a specialized DNA polymerase present in immature pre-B and pre-T lymphoid cells, as well as most precursor B- and T-lymphoblastic leukemias/lymphomas. Useful for distinguishing lymphoblastic lymphoma from Burkitt lymphoma, with occasional aberrant expression in some acute myeloid leukemias.
